Avast’s game mode optimizes your computer’s settings to allow gaming. It mutes notifications and pauses update to let you focus on the game. It also adjusts your PC settings so that gaming has precedence over the best data rooms on the market other applications that might drain the CPU or slow down performance.
You need a lot of resources to play games, like RAM MEMORY, CPU, and GPU. Other apps or record processes can divert these resources from your gaming program, making it slow down or crash. Avast game mode allows you to focus solely on playing video games by temporarily turning off background processes and advising you of possible interruptions.
It also minimizes the impact on your gaming performance when you run antivirus scans and upgrades by stopping and detecting these to prevent interruptions. This can be an enormous benefit for gamers who do not want to have to pause their gaming to perform regular maintenance or risk being infected by viruses while trying to play.
Launch the antivirus program, and then click the menu button located in the upper-right corner of the Windows taskbar. Select «Settings», and then turn the switch next. Enable Game Mode on. If Game Mode is enabled, a distinct icon will be displayed in your tray of the system to indicate that Game Mode is active.
You can also visit a specialized page in the Avast software to add specific programs to the list and then have them automatically switch into Game Mode whenever you play them.
